Route Overview

Busan's Galmaetgil is a 21-section, 278.8km trail network circling the entire city, and the Igidae coastal course is one of its most popular sections for visitors short on time. The route hugs rocky cliffs with ocean views, passing suspension bridges and boardwalks, with views back toward Gwangan Bridge and the Haeundae skyline. It ends near Oryukdo Island, a small group of rock formations considered the symbolic starting/ending point of two of Korea's major long-distance coastal trails (Haeparang-gil and Namparang-gil).
